SYSTEM opened its first stand-alone pop-up store in Tokyo, Shibuya PARCO for five days.
Following the opening of the Paris flagship store last June and a stand-alone pop-up store in Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in July, SYSTEM once again strengthened its global presence by opening an exclusive pop-up store at Shibuya PARCO in Tokyo.
Open from October 16th until the 20th, the store was situated on the first floor, where global luxury brands such as Gucci, Loewe, Thom Browne, and Jil Sander are located. The façade was wrapped in tempting red, showcasing SYSTEM's unique brand identity and infusing a powerful image while stimulating curiosity from random passersby. In contrast, the interior of the ephemeral space was covered with soft faux fur, one of the signature materials used for Fall-Winter 2024, thereby fully capturing the mood of the collection.
Through the pop-up store, SYSTEM unveiled selected pieces from its Fall-Winter 2024 global collection, named "Portrait of Uncertainty," which had previously been presented during Paris Fashion Week last January. The collection was inspired by the life of British painter Gluck and featured gender-fluid elements that blurred the boundaries between genders, combining a classic mood with a 1990s minimalist aesthetic.
In addition to the Fall-Winter 2024 global collection, SYSTEM also carried various other items reflecting the brand’s identity, including SYSTEM logo t-shirts and David Sims collaboration t-shirts. SYSTEM worked with world-renowned photographer David Sims for its Fall-Winter 2024 global campaign.
To commemorate the opening of its first stand-alone pop-up store in Japan, PARCO limited edition sweatshirts and zip-up hoodies were released, sold exclusively at the store. Furthermore, a pre-opening event was held on the opening day, attended by Yabuki Nako, a former member of the Korean-Japanese collaboration girl group IZ*ONE, along with local media and influencers.
